INTRODUCING WESTRAM
Build for Soldiers - Ready for the Future
THIS IS WESTRAM
Close in, take a knee, for the next 2 minutes let’s cover something that doesn’t always get the attention it deserves: tactical gloves. Not the “keep your hands warm on a Sunday dog walk” type. We’re talking serious, mission-ready, field-tested hand protection – the kind of kit that helps you keep your weapon steady, your kit under control, and your hands intact when things get hot, cold, wet, or downright ugly.
This is where Westram enters the picture – a new name in hand protection that’s here to move fast, adapt faster, and deliver gloves built for soldiers, not just procurement checklists.
FRONT LINE READY
The battlefield is changing; the tech is smarter, the environments harsher, and the threats nastier. So, we’ve taken a century of glove-making know-how from our parent company Otto Kessler, and channelled it into a new outlet - Westram Gloves, designed from day-one for modern soldiers and the future of combat.
Our mission? Simple:
Move fast - we’re not waiting three years for a “next-gen” glove.
Adapt constantly - when the threat or your feedback identifies change, our gloves are reengineered accordingly.
Built for you - the soldier who actually has to wear it, not to meet paperwork criteria.
WHY WESTRAM IS DIFFERENT
We know the score, you don’t have time for kit that slows you down or tech that only works in the brochure. That’s why every Westram glove is built on four pillars of soldier-first design:
PROTECTION: from heat, cold, blades, impacts, and whatever else the battlefield throws at you.
DEXTERITY: fit so good you can still feel your trigger, adjust your optics, and change a mag without ripping your gloves off.
GRIP: wet, dry, oily, frozen – your kit stays in your hands, not on the deck.
TECH INTEGRATION: touchscreen-ready fingertips tested in all conditions on the actual military tablets, GPS units, and comms devices you use, not just some office iPad.
GLOVES FOR EVERY CLIMATE AND MISSION
Soldiers don’t fight in one environment, so we don’t make “one-size-fits-all” gloves:
Extreme Cold Weather Gloves; Layered insulation using the best materials, windproof shells, and moisture management so your digits don’t turn into ice lollies at -20°C.
Hot Weather Combat Gloves; Breathable, lightweight, sweat-wicking designs that keep your grip even when you’re melting.
Wet Weather Gloves; Hydrophobic coatings, GORE-TEX® membranes, quick-dry fabrics, and grip that actually works in the wet.
Specialist Models; Fast roping, riot control, public order, special forces - all with features dialled in for the job.
BUILT WITH SOLDIERS, TESTED BY SOLDIERS
Every Westram glove goes through EN 388 (mechanical risk) and EN 511 (cold protection) testing, as well as relevant EN 407 FR standards for flame resistance.
But here’s the thing, lab tests don’t win firefights. That’s why we run every glove through live user trials with actual soldiers with the right kit, in the environments they were designed for. Arctic exercises. Jungle patrols. Urban entry drills. If it doesn’t pass the “would I wear this on ops?” test from our trial users, it doesn’t make it to production.
THE FUTURE OF SOLDIER HAND PROTECTION
Combat is changing faster than ever - more tech, more integrated systems, more threats that didn’t exist five years ago. Westram is built to keep pace. We’re already working on:
Smarter fabrics that adapt and operate better in specific environments.
Next-gen tech integration to align with advancements in weapons, drone control and augmented optics.
Lighter, stronger materials that blend leather heritage with cutting-edge science.
And because we’re a small, agile team, we can move from concept to prototype to field trial in weeks, not years.
FINAL WORD
You can’t fight if you can’t grip. You can’t survive if you can’t protect your hands. And you shouldn’t have to choose between protection and performance.
That’s why Westram Gloves exist - built for soldiers, by people who actually listen to soldiers, with one goal: keep your hands ready for whatever’s next.
